Approximately twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms impacted the region, producing wind gusts topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction
Locals observed giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been affected by large hailstones.

Response teams were focused on reestablishing power throughout the affected regions, with dozens of response units deployed to address the extensive power failures.
Victorian Climate Difficulties
At the same time, nearly 1,000 energy customers in the southern state also faced energy failures after the metropolitan area recorded its most precipitation in 18 months.
State Emergency Services received nearly 600 requests for assistance across the area, primarily for structural issues but also for downed trees and flooding.

Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were expected to linger along much of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was predicted as the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both areas.
Medical Alert
Health officials cautioned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
This caution comes after previous incidents where similar conditions led to significant health impacts in the area.
