Nearly 90 Flights Associated to Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airfields
Analysis has identified that approximately 90 flights associated to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from UK airports, with some reportedly carrying women from the UK who allege they were abused by the convicted child sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Pattern of Movement
The travel manifests were among thousands of court documents and files released by Epstein’s estate that have been released over the previous twelve months. The review identified 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein – encompassing many that were hitherto undisclosed – arriving or departing from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unnamed women were listed among the individuals entering and exiting the UK. Notably, 15 of these UK flights took place after Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a underage person.
“It was ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his activities in the country,” remarked American attorneys acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. Yet, that victim has not been approached by British law enforcement, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the Metropolitan police said they had “not been provided with any new information that would support reopening the investigation.” They added, “If fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, including any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Ongoing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to make public all files held by the American government in concerning Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of documents are expected to be released.
Separately, a federal judge ordered last week that the DOJ could disclose investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
