A revitalized the Russian player claimed his initial championship for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.

Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.

Presently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.

This represents his initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.

But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an better service.

He recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the last five games to take the lead.

Moutet rescued four early opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.

Suitably, Medvedev secured the win with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
